"Green Gulch Farm Zen Center, also known as Green Dragon Temple (Soryu-ji), is a Buddhist practice center in the Japanese Soto Zen tradition offering training in Zen Meditation and ordinary work. It is one of three centers that make up the San Francisco Zen Center which was founded by Shunryu Suzuki-roshi. Green Gulch Farm is located in Marin County, just north of San Francisco, in a valley that opens out onto the Pacific Ocean. "Tassajara, Zen Mind Temple (Zenshin-ji), is a Zen Buddhist community which was established by the San Francisco Zen Center in 1966. Its hot springs were used by Esselen Indians, and it has been a hot springs resort from the 1860s. From May through August, Tassajara offers guest practice and work-study programs, workshops and retreats as well as individual accommodations for vacationing guests. For the rest of the year, September through April, the monastery is closed to the public so that students of Zen Buddhism can engage in traditional monastic training periods. "Nechung Dorje Drayang Ling is a Buddhist temple and retreat located on 25 acres in Wood Valley, the Ka'u District of the Island of Hawai'i. New Melleray Abbey "In an effort to meet the needs of people in our day, New Melleray makes its Guest House available to people who would like to make quiet, personal retreats. "Tallgrass Spiritual Retreat Center offers a variety of meaningful retreats for women. Tallgrass is located on 4 acres of a larger working cattle ranch. It consists of two buildings, the Main House and the Bunkhouse. The Bunkhouse can accommodate 12. "The Insight Meditation Society was founded in 1975 as a nonprofit organization to provide a place for the intensive practice of insight meditation. Complete silence is maintained during retreats at all times except during teacher interviews. Vipassana Retreats are designed for both beginning and experienced meditators. "Adjoining the monastery is a small Retreat House with eleven private rooms each with a private bath. Retreats for clergy and laypeople are offered mid-week, Monday afternoon to Friday morning, and on weekends, from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. The retreat house closely conforms to the atmosphere of the monastery. The celebration of Mass and the Liturgy of the Hours frame the structure for each day with a generous amount of time also set aside for private prayer, reading and contemplative quiet. The Abbey Retreat House is usually filled six months in advance. Reservations are accepted only for six months ahead."
"The Abbey of Our Lady of Glastonbury was founded on September 14, 1954, by the Abbey of Saint Benedict, Benet Lake, Wisconsin. It became an independent priory on August 25, 1962. The monastery was raised to the status of an Abbey on January 8, 1973 by the Holy See. The Glastonbury Chapel is open to the public daily, except during of the last week of August when the monks are on their annual retreat. In addition to the daily prayer schedule listed below, Glastonbury also offers retreats, religious education classes for adults, and an interfaith lecture series to enrich our understanding of faith and prayer."

Colombiere Conference Center "Colombiere opened as a Jesuit Seminary in 1959. It is named after Claude de la Colombiere, a Jesuit teacher, orator and spiritual director, who lived in France from 1641 to 1682 and was canonized May 31, 1992. Currently we serve as a conference and retreat center with accommodations for day or overnight guests including appealing buffet style meals, 15 spacious meeting rooms, outdoor pool, auditorium, gymnasium, chapel and other amenities. Although the facilities reflect the Jesuit influence, they are not limited to those of the Catholic faith."
