"When you hear that voice inside, you feel loved and supported."

Echo Bodine, Hands that Heal, Part 2

• You no longer feel alone or abandoned by God. When you hear that voice inside, you feel loved and supported.

• Your relationships with other people change, your parenting changes, and even your relationships with animals change, because you feel connections that are impossible to feel when you live only in your head.

I’d like to do an exercise with you to help you know the difference between your intellect and your inner voice.

Close your eyes. Focus on your solar plexus (where your bellybutton is). Ask your intuition, "Are you there?" You will feel an inner nudging.

Pay attention to the area you’re focusing on. Are you focusing on your head?

One of my students recently asked me, "How do I know if it’s my head talking to me or my intuition?" Very simply, focus on where the information is coming from. If you’re in your head, you’ll be focusing there. If it’s your intuition, you will be focusing on your middle.

If you’re feeling muddled up inside, ask the Universe to please clear you so you can "sense" what the silent voice is saying.

I’m going to ask you some questions, and I want you to focus on your intuition. Ready? (Answers on next page.)

1.  Is Echo’s living room painted light green or pink? When you say light green or pink, you will feel a slight nudging inside when you get the right answer.

2.  Next question: Was Echo’s last pet a cat or a dog? Feel the answer, get out of your head. If you can’t get an answer, ask the question again. Was Echo’s last pet a cat or a dog?

3.  Is Echo a vegetarian? Yes or no?

4.  Does Echo have any children? Yes or no?

5. Does Echo like to water ski? Yes or no?

(Answers: 1. Green 2. Dog 3.No 4.Yes 5.No)

Are you focusing on your intuition? When you hit the correct answer it feels right. You just know the answer is right.
