Matthew Fox

Matthew Fox has devoted his career to unleashing the mystical traditions within Christianity and other faiths.  His theology of Creation Spirituality -- the belief that we are born in "original blessing" -- has reinvigorated the faith of countless seekers.  Formerly a member of the Dominican Order, Matthew Fox is now an Episcopal priest.  He is the founding president of the University of Creation Spirituality in Oakland, California.

One River, Many Wells

In One River, Many Wells (review or buy), spiritual thinker and priest Matthew Fox brings readers into the common heart of the great spiritual traditions of the world.  We find the core of religion by going to the heart experience, Matthew Fox says -- not by dwelling on doctrines that so easily divide followers even with in the same religious traditions.

Handbook for the Spirit

Edited by Richard Carlson and Benjamin Shield, Handbook for the Spirit (review or buy), is a collection of essays on spirituality and world religions. The book contains contributions by Marianne Williamson, the Dalai Lama, Sue Bender, and others. In the following excerpt titled "Creation Spirituality," Matthew Fox discusses four spiritual approaches to the experience of God.
